Hi all
Have just loaded SP2 after a reinstall, works fine, have downloaded the latest security patches and updates, is there anyway to save all the updates to CD for future use, as my Mother only has a 56k modem and it would take forever to download the patches and updates for sp2? Cheers, eskimo |

It's a little late now, but updates can be downloaded from here:

You can order a free cd from Microsoft with sp2 and other updates on it im not sure how current it is with the lastest critical updates but it would save alot of time on sp2 being a rather large file to download on 56k.

How about downloading SP2 itself. Would this one be alright to download and burn to CD?
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en or do I have to use the update feature if I do a fresh install? Thanks. |

That's fine, Charles - and you can slipstream that into your existing XP CD and burn a new one to make it even easier on a reinstall. Otherwise, you can just do an install, then run the SP2 network install off your CD.
