XP Freeze or slow down - memory leak?

I just built myself a new PC (Asus P4P800 SE with a 1.7P4, 1.0Gig DDr )
and I decided to go with XP Pro for my operating system instead of my previous OS, 98SE.
After I play Unreal Tournament the system is slow or will freeze up.

I noticed that in the Windows Task Manager - Process - that UT was still claiming memory. If I end the process ( UT ) the system may work okay.

The system will work fine if I reboot and will continue to work fine until I start UT up again.

I upgraded to SP2 to see if that would help but there was no change.

Is this a memeory leak or do you know of any other reason that the system is working this way?

Thanks

I would check on UT's web site to see if this is a known issue. They might have a patch.
