upgrading to sp2
i am going to soon upgrade my dad's Toshiba A75 to service pack 2. is there anything i should beware of. has anybody have success on this upgrade. and i also might upgrade to SP2 on a IBM desktop computer that is chinese will i have any problems with that

Don't know about the Chinese one, but I've done many with English. Prep by running Adaware, Spybot, Disk Cleanup and Defrag. If you have programs that don't work right after the SP2 install, check their websites for a compatibility update.

Make sure your system is clean. If you have anything in there it will create a real serious issues with the update. It's almost best to backup everything you want and then do a fresh install. You should back up everything even if you aren't going to make a fresh install. I tried to update once, and it got messed up, ever since then I've always done a fresh install and had no problems. I would also recomend that you use the cd and not the download from windows update. Some would say it doesn't matter, but the one time I had it mess up it was the download.
After you're done you'll like it, and may even wonder why you waited so long.
