Display size and position changed after being idle
Hi everyone...
I am having a problem with windows xp here. A lot of times when I am using my computer if it is left idle the system turns the monitor off for me if it has been 20minutes or more. Well when left off for a long period of time, say an Hour, I move the mouse and the monitor comes back on but one or both of these conditions now exsist: 1. The size of the display image has been reduced noticably... so that there is an increased area of black around the screen which the mouse cannot scroll on. 2. The display image is off by a number of pixles, either down or off to the right. The conditions can only be reversed by restarting the computer. I have a KDS KDS XF-9e monitor on a ATI Radeon 9700 Pro. The drives are not that old but I'll update them later tonight anyway, but still I'd like some input on this. Thanks! |

19" KDS Monitor
Resolution: 1152 x 864 Refresh Rate: 85Hz I noticed that there were two diff. resolution settings, one of them was at 85 (ATI Monitor Properties window) the other 100 (Windows Monitor Settings window). I changed the 100 to 85, hopefully that may fix my problem. |

I'd say that is very strange resolution and refresh rate I will tell you my:
nVidia FX 5200 19" dell m990 1280x1024 resolution 60 Hertz refresh And if you have only 100 & 85 refresh rate it may be that something is wrong with your graphic card try installing new drivers!!! |
