Windows Media Player 10

Windows XP Home Edition with SP2 installed all OK. Installed WMP10. Went to online store and unable to return to main page. Closed WMP10 and restarted WMP 10 back to on line store. Went into restore and get unable to restore no changes made to computer. tried several other restore points including in safe mode same story. Now have no Media Player at all. Can not find MP in search mode it seems to have been erased. Any suggestions would be very welcome. Thanks.

Had you tried going to the VIEW Menu > Go to > Now Playing? As to your issue of missing the entire WMP, it appears that you went to a restore point that was created when your old WMP was uninstalled. Download WMP10 from microsoft.com and install.

Are you sure you don't have WMP 9 still installed? It's a standard feature of the OS you shouldn't have been able to uninstall it. Take a look at this page from Microsoft about WMP http://www.microsoft.com/windows/win...vice/0030.aspx. Report back and let us know how you made out.

Wmp 10

Thanks Codered6651. Iwas able today to use system restore to reconfigure before downloading WMP 10, but WMP 9 is not in,(all programs). If I use the search function I can find WMP but I don't know what to do with that info. I tried to download WMP 9 again and get message that it is not compatable with my windows;ditto if I try WMP 10. I checked my Windows XP CD to see if that might help but didn't see anything that would help. Thanks
