Dual Boot Win. 98 and Win XP

My computer is running Win 98, I would like to upgrade to Win XP. I would like to be able to run both OS's at the same time and be able to choose whether I want to run Win 98 or Win XP. Can anyone help me?

Boot with the XP CD and install it to a different partition. It will set up a dual boot menu for you.

Hello and thank you for your reply. I've heard a little bit about the partitioning your disk, can you tell me how to do that? Thanks.

If your drive is presently only one partition, you will need to buy Partition Magic to repartition the drive without losing all data. Shrink the partition to make room for an XP partition. See below. If you are going to start fresh, just boot with the 98 startup disk or CD, run FDISK, remove the primary DOS partition, create a new one that only uses part of the drive. Install 98 on that partition, then install XP in the unpartitioned space, it will finish the job for you.
