"Window update unsuccessfully installed" problem ?

First of all ,don't get me wrong, I am running on genuine licensed copy of Windows XP Pro on a DELL Dimension 3000 series business pc.

When I go to the tools, and window update, and there will checking to say 'oh The updates are being downloaded and being installed', but in the list results always shows 'fail'.....

Maybe Statica have some good advise ?

yeh, I know it's been a while since i posted

I would turn off automatic updates for a bit a nd do a munual go at installing the updates so you can get a better idea of which one a why they are failing, or shut down all unnecessary apps. and processes and see if the update successfully installs.
