Hi,
I just reformatted my computer and the system starts up showing 2 copy of windows XP and prompted me which copy it should be booted to. I only installed 1 time, why it comes out 2? Can anyone teach me how to remove the second copy? PS: Only the first copy works, the second copy has an error |

I`m guessing that the setup didn`t exactly go smooth and there is still an entry in your boot.ini file for another installation of XP which doesn`t exist anymore.
To fix this the easiest way from control panel click system\advanced\start up and recovery. Select the installation you want as the default and clear the box that says "display a list of operating systems." |
