Viewing preferences not been saved...

hi ppl,

the folder's preferences aren't been saved. by which i mean (for example) when i open my music folder by clicking on the shortcut created on desktop, the files and settings in there are reverted back to original EVERY TIME i start the pc. i want it so that files are sorted by date and extra column added but its not saving these changes i make.

it used to be fine a few months back.

how can i get this to start saving the changes i make to folders viewing preferences?

thanks.

using XP pro with admin level access.

Try open Folder options View tab check box by "remember each folder view settings".
To open folder options open windows explorer tools folder options or go to control panel folder options!!!
