How to get settings screen to stop

I have a newer and an older computer. On my newer computer when I boot it goes right to the desktop with very little delay and without being required to push any button. On my my older computer when it boots it goes through the microsoft XP screen and then goes to the setup where I have to click on my name...it then takes about 45 seconds to set up the settings...which seems like an irritating an unnecessary thing since my newer computer does not do this. I am the only one who uses my computer so I dont need to personalize the settings for more than one user.

How do I get rid of this unnecessary step?

Both computers are Windows XP and the older computer is an FX-51. So the problem is not one being a slow computer.

Thanks
