RECYCLER folder?

when I do virus scan I noticed that it scan a folder named RECYCLER . I went to Tools, Folder Options and unchecked "Hide protected operating system files"

is that the system restore folder for backups? can I deleted thoses files eh?

That's the Recycle Bin. Deleting those files will remove them from the recycle bin.

You should empty your recycle bin.

It is empty thats whats weird. and the folder says its 1.7 gigs

Right click on the bin choose Properties and see what percentage of your hard drive space is reserved for it.
I'm betting that's what the 1.7 gigs is about.

when I leave my cursor on one of the files it says that its files and folders that I have deleted , can this be system restore things?

So much for the easy answers.
What files and folders are you talking about?
Did you delete a program instead of uninstalling it?
Is it something left over from Norton's AV?

If you think it might be System Restore then disable it and reboot the computer.
That will remove all restore points (remember to re-enable it) and let you know if you guessed right.
