Question attn: Widows Explorer Annoyance

hello gentleman
i am running a version of windows 2000 service pack 4
on a computer at my office and i decided to update them
upon completing the windows update the explorer has a bug
or something
whenver i press the "folders" button to see the folder tree
the entire area is greyed out with an x in the corner
ive tried a few things but nothing seems to work
please help

In your folder options under Web view, try setting it to use Windows classic folders.

sorry to get back so late
i didnt know there was a classic view in windows 2000
i thought it was the classic view
the only view

I'm not talking about the classic start menu, I'm talking about folder options.

Start, settings, control panel, folder options. General tab, web view section.
