Windows XP download problems...
Hi
I am wondering if anyone can help me out here. Ok i am not that computer literate so bear with me. Basically i have a pc and im trying to download a free virus scanner to check out my pc and i cannot download anything. I am having trouble with clicking on links ie. cannot get into my banking site, cannot get further than the front page of most websites. This is a real problem and does anybody know or have any suggestions as to what may have happened. Your help would be very appreciated. Thank you in advance Steve hutch13@hotmail.com |

This sounds like it might be a malware issue. Have a read of this thread and follow the steps outlined in it, and then if you are still having problems, post a HijackThis log in the System Security forum. You will obviously have to download the requisite tools on another computer and transfer them over either by burning a CD or using a USB memory key.
