corrupt files or virus

I found the kak virus on my computer. removed it manually. mean while I was installing a umax scanner and having problems getting pc to recognize it. when I dialed up to get onto the internet(to check umax's site for solutions, as soon as the dial-up networking would try to dial, the computer would reboot it's self. tried it directly from dial-up networking and by running iexplorer and both ways it reboots the computer. I even tried uninstalling and reinstalling DUN and does the same thing.

could something else have gotten corrupted or is their some of the virus left? I've removed this virus from other pc's manually before with no side affects. but you never know. any other things I could try. thanks for any help.
