Installing a program to a CD
Is there a way to install a program so that will run from a cd without installing on the host computer? I know that most programs need to add info to the registry - Can this be done?

I don't think so,as far as I know you can install some programs (Office, Games) and need CD to run them, but I don't think that you can install program on CD.
There are some versions of Linux OS (Knnopix) that can be run from CD but that's about it!!!

It depends on the program and you are correct as to whether or not it installs registry entries or not. A standalone program can be installed and then the directory can be burned to a CD. I did this with Aida32 and am able to run the prog from the CD on machines I am evaluating.
