My Pictures Folder Disappeared

Recently My Pictures folder disappeared from my start menu. The three other accounts on the computer have it. When I try to access it from the My Pictures button on my MS Wireless Desktop Elite Keyboard I get a message "The current assignment for this customizable is not available. To reassign the key click 'Next'. One of the options is "Open My Picture folder". After selecting it and close out the window I still get the same error message when trying to access it from the keyboard. I have not been able to track down any information to correct this problem. It seems to me that the My Picture folder has disappeared from the registry altogether. Does anyone have any suggestion?

Im not quite sure what your asking for but if your start menu doesnt have the my pictures button there you might have unchecked it. I would check here and see if its checked.

Right click the task bar > properties > start menu tab > customize > advanced tab

Scroll in the little box for my pictures and see if the box in the middle is checked "Display as a menu".

Hope this helps

Try to restore your PC to some earlier time. Maybe check out MS forum at microsoft.com\communities, I'm sure they can help. When things like Recycled bin gets whacky or I can't find an MS file or something I can always find an answer there.

I have already checked the Start menu options, it is checked at a link. Changed it to menu item and no luck. Checked my recycle bin and its not in there either. Will do some more looking on microsoft, but I haven't had much luck yet. Thanks for the replies!
