Problem with Task Manager
My brother was trying to show me how to close a program on the Task Manager, (which he didn't know I already knew).
He hit control, alt, delete to get the window open.... I am running windows xp. Anyway he was trying to click on something and somehow he cause all of the tabs to disapear, and even the top portion of the box where the x is to close the box out. Now to close out the box I have to actually click on task manager.exe to end it. All that's there when I open the task manager is one big window .... and it has: Image name, User name, CPU, and Mem Usage, and all the things running If I'm not mistaken this used to be under the "processes tab" but like I said all the tabs are gone...actually the whole top part is gone. Does anyone know how to get it back? I've tried right clicking on everyplace in and on the box but nothing happens. I can't figure out how to get to the properties of the box...maybe i could fix it there. I don't have system restore running so I can't go back before he clicked. Thanks in advance UPDATE: I found a site online that says it has a fix for task manager---reset settings and restore tabs etc. the site is : http://windowsxp.mvps.org/ but when I click on their link it gives a page that says: Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [-HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\TaskManager] It doesn't have any directions or anything else just that. Does anyone know what I'm supposed to do with it? I did go into my registry and followed the path and found the key it's talking about but I didn't make any changes because I don't know what changes to make. You should be able to double click on the very top of it to get out of "tiny footprint mode."

Thank you so much! It's figures it would be easy to fix and I was trying to make it difficult. It's something I won't forget though! Thank you again
