Hello All,
Wonder if anybody can help, I recently bought an iPod Shuffle MP3 Player, so i install the software for it and as it nears the end of the install, a message box comes up and says... Ipod For Windows 2005-01-11 Error Error 1904. Module C:\Program Files\iPod\iPodUpdater 2005-01-11\iPodUpdaterExt.Dll Failed to Register. HRESULT - 2147220473. Contact Your Support Personnel. Thats the message that came popped up, upon further inspection, i saw the software had been installed, so i click on it and it came up with... Windows 2000 (SP4) or Windows XP needed, Please update your software and try again. I did a search on Service Pack 4 (SP4) and found the download site for it, when i checked to see if i would be ok to install it, it said Windows ME not supported, So am i right in guessing im truly screwed and have to buy a new Windows package??? i mean i thought Windows ME, was Windows 2000, please help me, before i smash this thing up

According to Apple's site the shuffle only works with W2k SP4 or XP. There are other flash players out there that work with ME. Muvo for example.

ME is not 2000. 2000 is based on NT, ME is based on 95/98. XP is based on NT and replaces both 2000 and ME. You have to read the system requirements a little closer before buying hardware and software.
