PCs in network keeps rebooting
Need some help here guys.
four Win XP SP1 PCs in a LAN of 10 keeps rebooting simultaneously and at almost the same time - around 6 PM everyday for 4 days now! Scanned for worms and viruses but found none, no over heating either because even if the PC is booted cold the same thing happens. What could be the problem? |

Control panel, system, advanced, startup and recovery, uncheck restart on error. Next morning, read the bluescreens you should see for clues.

How are these four machines powered? are they on a common UPS or electrical circuit? it won't be the first time a cleaning person has pulled a plug out to plug in a vacuum.

rjfvillarosa, I had a cleaning lady plug a vacumm INTO a UPS once and fire it up. Totally shutdown the WS but after a reboot luckily everything was OK.

gl has suggested looking at the BSOD's which is a good place to start, but sometimes you just never know, it might be something far more simple but less obvious, it seems strange that they are crashing at or around 6.00pm just the time a cleaning person would be starting work,
just a thought.
