Windows XP Startup

I am running XP pro and checking out my Startup processes and found this odd one. Or just probably odd to a novice like me. It is the process that reads "1" and the command is "1". The closest match I could find is this one half way down the page. http://www.sysinfo.org/startuplist.php?filter=1

But on that page it says the command "1" would actually have the extension of .exe. I don't have that and can't find an exact match. If this is a problem can I use this removal process?

Thanks for your help. I just thought this was curious. And if it is what is described I hope no one has recorded information or keystrokes that would be very bad. -Matt

After dealing with msconfig and services for awhile you become familiar with what should be there and what shouldn't and smells fishy. Considering there isn't any special software installed (which I highly doubt would only say "1"), "1" shouldn't be there and may be a trojan, spyware, or just a messed up install. Disable it and do a free full viri scan with trend micro to double check for installed viri. GL

I removed it so we shall see if there is a difference. I have researched like crazy and have yet to find an exact match. I do run the newest versions Ad-Aware, Spybot, AVG, and Trend on a regular basis. Clean as can be according to those programs. I just found some funny things recently and according to research it say there is a virus that simply records information from my computer and keystrokes and sends them to a server. And that freaked me out sounds bad. Thanks for your help. -Matt
