Problems installing DX9c, cabinet file cannot be trusted?
I am having probs installing Directx 9c. I downloaded it from Microsoft but when I start the installation, and error box pops up and says " A cabinet file needed cannot be trusted" The window does not give a file name at all and installation fails onc eI hit ok on that error window.
Any idead, I'm running xp.... adrianse |

Are you doing the active install or did you download the full redistributable (34mb)?

it's the active install I belive, it's only like 308 kb sitting on my desktop.

same result
I get the same result after having tried to install that re-distributable version you gave me...
Any other ideas? When I unzipped that file, it came with some cab files, but I have no idea which cab file it isn't trusting.... adrianse |

Try turning off antivirus and antispysoftware!!!
