windows loads slow; video capture=crash
My computer has all of a sudden started to run very slowly. Windows XP Pro. takes several minutes to load, and many programs run slow. Also, any time I try to capture video (using Premiere Pro or and other program), my computer locks up.
I have conducted virus and spyware scans and they have all come up clean. Any ideas on the problem/solution? |

Have you cleaned out the dust bunnies lately? Check the cpu heat sink for dust/dirt accumulation. Another possibility is a weak power supply. Is this a home built or store bought system? If a store bought, how many add-ons since it was new?

Maybe you could check your fragmentation levels and try running a defragmenter on the HD and see if it helps.
