NTFS & FAT32
I am running Win XP and was wondering if changing one of my hard drives from FAT32 to NTFS would do anything to the programs already installed on there. There is nothing really important on the drive, just a few games that I have loaded that I used to play when I had Win 95 & 98 loaded.
Would changing the file system of this drive affect those games & make them unplayable? I really do not want to format & reinstall them if I do not have to. |

Converting from FAT32 to NTFS is safe and non-destructive

It's not related to the file system, only to the OS. I don't know what games you're referring to, so you need to try. You said you're already running XP, so just try to run the games, then you'll see if they work fine. Usually, they should. And if not, you can try to use the compatibility mode, it helps in some cases.
