Hey there, i have a similar problem...i wanted to run scandisk so i selected it from the my computer ->C Drive -> properties ->tools ->check disk. then it said that upon next re-boot it will check my disk. Well when i restarted it did indeed come up with a check disk screen, but then it says" cannot get direct access to disk" and then it aborts and restarts to a normal windows screen. If anyone can help us it would be appreciated.
Thanks. |

Im having the exact same problem, it started yesterday and it might have been becouse of an windows update.
Heres what it says when i do that C:\Documents and Settings\Hitomi>chkntfs c: The type of the file system is NTFS. C: is not dirty. C:\Documents and Settings\Hitomi>chkntfs d: The type of the file system is NTFS. D: is dirty. You may use the /C option to schedule chkdsk for this drive. I schedule a chkdsk but it keeps on doing a chkdsk everytime it boots |
