system backup for xp

whenever i get a virus or something's wrong with my system, i reformat the hard drive and reinstall windows xp.
but it takes like 2hours to do so. system restore in windows xp dont do jack...
is there any program that i can use to restore system back to normal?

There are many programs like Norton Ghost that will let you "clone" an entire hard drive.

I guess that the first question is why are you reformatting your system. I would try to have better virus/spyware protection rather than reformatting your system. As EzyStvy mentioned, you can buy Norton Ghost, reformat your system and get everything setup correctly then clone an image. You can then restore this image depending on the size of the install in about 20 minutes.
