splat Quicklaunch problem

OK, I have a problem.

I accidentally dragged the "Show Desktop" icon from the Quicklaunch to the desktop. I dragged it back to quicklaunch, but all it does is create a shortcut. How do I get the origional Show Desktop back to the Quicklaunch?

Have you tried using the Show desktop on quicklaunch since doing this. I just did exactly as you said you have done and the Show Desktop on quickLaunch works perfectly.

Go here http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_showdesktop.htm , download and extract zip, run utility program, and in less than a second, your "Show Desktop" icon will be restored back in it's original place.

Just right-click and drag it back onto your Quick Launch Toolbar and release the mouse button. Select "Move Here" from the menu that pops up.

you can also hold down the shift key and drag the icon back into the quicklaunch area and it will put the icon back in there
