Lots of problems

well when i boot my laptop it give a beep sound for 15 20 sec ...and then boots normally (using win xp home sp1).the sound comes 2 3 min after the icons appear.have chked list of startups & for spyware etc.i dont think its a
problem with large no of programs at startup.also after booting the "P"
key is pressed down continously.when i press it, it does not respond.
when i try to enter anything in either the address field of ie or opera
or in RUN option of startmenu P is entered continously.i also had the same problem with numlock key before so i disabled the sticky keys option..
please advice.

Sounds like a defective keyboard, that is sticking. You might need to get the keyboard serviced or changed.

just noticed that after i resume from stanby mode the problem from the P key is resolved..
