Help!!! Strange Error Message
Only until recently my laptop started to display an error message:"Error Loading! Press Any Key to Reboot." I tried using my computers recovery disks to no avail, and I also tried using my Acronis True Image of which I have a backup. No matter what I do...all I get is the error message. Is it the hdd or the ram, normally i can figure it out but this has left me clueless and worried. Help!!! Any ideas would be appreciated.

Welcome to PCMech. What OS are you using? What exactly have you tried with the recovery disc? Can you get into the BIOS when the laptop starts up?

if u restored from a 'safe' image then might be the bios settings are incorrect (sometimes even a flat battery) - try resetting back to default.
when do u recieve the error message, during bootup (post) or after when windows is loading? |

Im using Windows XP Service Pack 2. I cannot access my BIOS settings, I own a ferrari 3200 and it used to have a pic of a ferrari in a pitstop. That was my BIOS screen. After about 3 months of use the picture disappeared and I haven't been able to access my BIOS controls since. It would as startup even with out the BIOS screen. Now as soon as the BIOS screen disappears, and before the windows loading page comes up, I get the error message. It happened once before on my trip to VA but I used Norton Goback to go to an earlier time. This time Norton Goback didn't work and so I'm stuck. Hope this helps clear things up.

When you boot up and see the very first black screen, are you pressing Delete or F8? That should halt the boot process and take you into BIOS. Is it not responding at all to that?
