If the lsass.exe is spelt with a capital L this is ok...if spelt all lower case this is a virus.
This has been around sometime and well noted on this forum This is from the same family as W32.Sasser....... which has many relations Turn off system restore, unplug ur computer from the internet line, run Stinger, it should remove the crap that is causing that, afterwards, install the patch, then enable the windows firewall and restart computer than renable the System Restore. since i noticed that people that are behind hardware routers and gateways dont seem to get the worms actually compared to people on dialup or people on Internet not behind a hardware gateway or router. Patch: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en If problem presistss you'll have to do Repair install of Windows : http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm
