memtest86 is a good one for RAM. You could give SiSoft SANDRA a try. There are freeware, shareware, and pro editions available.

If you're looking for system info, Belarc Advisory is another tool.

It's a boot CD, not a diagnostic software?

It's a boot CD with ALL KINDS of diagnostics on it. Might want to read the overview:

Thanks I am downloading and see what it offers. So far I read what it includes and seems incredable.

I have an asus motherboard and when I burn the software as bootable CD the software boots up to my Dos program Caldera DR-DOS 7.03. I am not fimiliar with Dos and how to use the software from there? I need diagnostics from Windows and not DOS versions. But from the Caldera Dos how do I check my CPU, motherboard, Memory, HDD and power supply from the DOS mode?

It should boot into a menu. Look at the screenshot. If you want to be able to run any kind of diagnostics effectively, you need to become familiar with DOS - there really aren't any truly effective diags that will run in a Windows environment.

EDIT - you do not burn it as a bootable CD. If you are using Nero Express, you choose Disk Image or Saved Project, set it for all files, browse to the .iso, open it, and burn. Other CD burning programs should be similar. All you did by burning it as a bootable CD is add the Caldera bootloader, and it hasn't a clue where to go from there. The .iso is bootable into the menu when burned correctly.

Witch one did you download???
If you downloaded self extractor file you don't have .iso file you have to burn them when you extract(twice), if you wonted .iso and download the other one witch is iso file!!!

ok I downloaded the exe file, however when I click on the xe files it brought up win rar so I had to unzip. So I burn all the files to a cd-r disc and rebooted with a disc in the drive and no luck I just went into dos mode and it said A:/

No luck.

Yes I've tried the same but didn't get even A: looks like I will have to download ISO file.

Edit: I just remembered try to downloasd ISO Buster (I think that WinRar is taking over file witch is .iso) and when you extract first time that will be .iso !!!

Exclamation

Thank's I had ISO Buster for a long and I know where I can find one but answer for your help cry.

When you install ISO Buster assign him to open files .ISO and .BIN or all as a mater of fact it's your choice, then SELFEXTRACTING file of UBDC (that you have downloaded from some Mirror) extract again you will notice that that's .ISO (ISO Image 124.800 kb) is size file witch was taken over by WinRar. And just burn with your burning software and it works perfectly!!!

Download the zip file. There's only one file in the zip - the iso file.
