Installing Windows XP Professional Edition Error!
Hello, I was hoping I could get some help with a problem I have been having installing Windows XP Professional Full Edition. You see I am using a SATA 120 Gigabyte Hard Drive, I had to install some drivers for it to work (that’s what the dealer told me). But every single time I try to install Windows XP Professional Full Edition it locks up at the screen after the Partition where it must Format the Hard Drive to install Windows. It just sits at 0% the entire time, there is no Hard Drive or Disc Drive activity at that point. Also it will lock up at points before that, oddly enough as it sounds, if I don’t go through the process quick enough. That is if I slowly go through the process it will lock up, if I zip through it, it works fine (up until the Format). Does anyone have any ideas, if you do, please do not hesitate to reply. Thanks in advance.

Looks like your Win XP dosen't recognise HDD.
You need to copy the SATA drivers from the MBoard CD onto a floppy disk. When first starting the WinXP install, a screen will appear that says to hit F6 if you need to install any SCSI or 3rd party drivers. Hit F6 and supply the floppy disk. DO NOT remove the floppy disk until instructed to. Copy the drivers from motherboard support CD *\DriverDisk\SATA\*.* into root directory of floppy disk. (i.e. root directory of floppy disk should contain \pide and \sata folders, txtsetup.oem, etc. files.) Then, boot system by Windows XP installation CD, when the message "Press F6 if you need to install a third party SCSI or RAID driver" shows up, press "F6". Then, press "S" to specify additional device when next screen pops up. Put the driver floppy disk you made in and press enter to continue. If the floppy disk is made successfully, the installation program will ask for selecting driver. Please then select "VIA Serial ATA RAID Controller(Windows XP)".) After SATA driver loaded and Windows XP can recognize the SATA HDD, you can continue to install Windows XP as usual. This should work fine if you have the drivers on a CD somewhere
