Unable to install XP, help!

Hi, well basically ive just had a new Mobo and new processor installed so ive formatted on another PC and NONE of the xp install disks i've tried have work, when i boot from just CD it says invalid boot disk, install valid and retry and when i try it booting CD - C: - A: its tells me NTLDR is missing restart. I would assume it's gonna be a problem with the disks but ive tried over 6, different versions, different cd's and all throw up the same error, they all autoplay on the pc im currently on (running xp pro) so i now have no idea what the problem is! could it be CD drives? any ideas would be awesome as i cant take it to a shop as im working all week! all this just to play BF2 aswell! cheers guys.

Sounds like one of two things - the cd drive is not working/is not hooked up correctly - or you are using OEM install install disks and you do not have the machine the disk is looking for.

What are the susytem specifications and what type of install disk are you using - are these MS issued OS disks with the holograms?

Sorry to sound suspicious but to have more than 6 copies of software that costs 100 a pop sounds unusual......

They are copies of my original but with SP1/SP2 etc as id rather install that than have to update when it does eventually work but the problem lies in the fact that i can't find my original disk. If it was a drive fault what could be done? as BIOS finds both drives no problem and ive tried both as master, what system specs do you need as im not sure what make the mobo is but apart from that:
Athlon 3.4 64
1024 crucial RAM
sony/samsung cd drives

Exclamation

Do you have SATA or IDE drives???
If SATA did you install drivers for them ???
If IDE did you tried to set on CABLE SELECT not on MASTER and SLAVE!!!
You can download diagnostic tool from your HDD manufacturers web site !!!

EDIT: If you have floppy on yours computer you may try use this: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...en&Hash=G5Y9NY but u will need CD to finish installation!!!
