Xp Backup utility problem

Hello again I've noticed I have a problem with my weekly backup. It only shows 2.00 km file size of stored info. I found out it has an error with the "volume shadow copy". If I run a backup without doing the shadow copy it will work BUT not if you copy the "System State" files. HELP!!!!! Thanks. I enclosed the error message

This issue normally occurs if you're using a FAT32 volume. Volume Shadow
Copy feature only supports NTFS volumes. If you enable this option, the
backup process will fail since FAT32 doesn't support the feature and
couldn't backup the files that are in the process of being written to.

Steps to disable Volume Shadow Copy if you're using a FAT32 volume:

1. Click Start->Programs->Accessories->System Tools->Backup.

2. Click the Advanced Mode link and select Backup Wizard.

3. Click Next and select Back up selected files, drivers, or network data.

4. Click Next and only select some files for testing propose.

5. Click Next and choose Desktop to store the backup file.

6. Click Next and click the Advanced button.

7. Select Normal backup and click Next.

8. Check the Disable volume shadow copy option and click Next.

9. Finish the backup wizard to backup the files.

If you're using an NTFS volume, try the steps listed below:

Open Regedit.exe and navigate to the following key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\system\setup

Change the "UpgradeInProgress" value 0.

Thanks Guys. I do have one small partition that is fat32 all my other partitions are NTFS. Could I easily convert my fat32 into NTFS?? I would be OK with losing any files on that partition. Thanks
