Help!!!!!!!!!!!!
I lost Office when I got a virus off my computer. After I downloaded Office 2003 trial, and my printer stopped working. I get a window reading: "Print spooler service not runing" I seem to need to open the Print Manager but I am not allowed, as the server properties can not be open. What can I do? Anticipated gratitude. Last edited by 1hollyfields; 07-03-2005 at 09:53 PM. Reason: to express urgency!!!!!! |

It did not work.
I get the message: "A Runtime error has occurred. Do you wish to debug? Line: 29 Unespecified error" When debugging it stops at: function OnLoad() { ViewPanel.addBehavior("#default#mmcview"); Thanks |

Check your services and make sure Print Spool service is running. It should be set as started and automatic.

Are you able to open event wiewer?
If so, record the eventID and Description pertaining to this error if one is listed. |

thank you for your answer.
I could open the viewer but mo much more. I rolled the computer to an earlier version. That sorted some issues. Now I wonder if you know whether I could backup everything onto a CD-RW and how to do so I have a new thread but have not being given an answer. you coul look under 1hollyfields posts. Thanks |

Looking back at your original post it all started with a virus. It depends what virus it was, what damage it caused to your system, what steps you`ve taken to remove the virus, etc. See what I mean? A general system back up may not be the answer because you could easily restore the virus itself or any damage it caused to your new re-install. Some viruses become deeply nested in the registry or system files so you don`t want to re-introduce this.
My suggestion would be to selectively back up critical data, e-mails, favorites, *.doc files, etc. to another drive and make sure everything comes up clean on an updated AV scan and then re-install from scratch. |

Thakns. I fully agreewith you. Would you be able to tell me how to backup into CD-RW? That way I could save videos, photographs, documents and some children downloads of which we once paid subscripcion for, and we are not memebers any more.
Thanks again |
