If I reformat will my 2nd HD progs work>
Well guys, im going to reformat my Windows Drive.
on my C: Drive I have windows On my 2nd HD, D:, i have all my programs such as games. My question is that if i reinstall windows and reformat C, will all the programs on my 2nd HD, D:/ work properly in the new fresh windows install |

You shouldn't have any problems with the programs that are on your 2nd HDD. Just make sure that you format the correct drive when you begin your reformat. Just reformatted my C drive and all my files and folders on my D drive work perfectly.

No, most of them will have to be reinstalled. Wiping the OS drive wipes the registry.

Adding on to what glc said...most of your games will probably run fine fresh after the install, but pretty much anything else won't, or at least not like they used to.
Additionally, most programs still store their settings/preferences/etc. on the C drive, stuff such as email and browser programs, so be careful about that too. Dogwelder |
