Choosing OS Annoyance
I turn the computer on, it loads up, but it comes to a screen where it makes me choose the operating system i want to use. it does it every time i turn on the computer. the options are 1. Microsoft Windows XP Home and 2. Microsoft Windows
is there a setting or some way to disable this selection and have it automatically select XP Home? doing it every time i turn on the computer gets annoying. It says press F8 or something like that to go to advanced settings, but i havent found anything in there yet that fixes this. thanks to anyone who can help me |

If you hit START, RUN, and then type in MSCONFIG, go to the BOOT.INI tab. There you can set the default OS.

I was able to bypass choosing the OS by going to the Startup and Recovery settings in the System Properties. I set the time the OS selection is up to 0 seconds. But now it is making me choose a hardware profile. now when i startup it comes to a Hardware Profile/Configuration Recovery Menu. it makes me choose a hardware profile, but i only have one profile. is there somewhere that i can have it automatically chosoe this profile instead of having to choose it every time i start up the computer or anything else i can do?
