Exclamation problem installing programs

I install a lot of programs onmy new AMD system. I had no problem before installing the same software on my celeron and p4 sytems. When I install various software on my AMD system it tells me this.

Only part of ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory request was completed

Why does the message appear and why am I not able to install the programs? Now on this AMD system I always have trouble installing programs, and the other systems install the same software with no trouble. I don't understand why

Most likely a defective optical drive you are using to install the software. Possibly defective ram.

no it is not the ram because I checked the ram with memtest86 and they are error free and I tried 3 drives (dvd-rom, new dvd-rw and another dvd-rw) and all failed and on the other computers I installed the same drives and it worked.

this error only happens with Lightscribe DVD-RW and it happened to my uncle too and it was his BenQ lightscribe DVD as well. We have the same DVD-RW.

I thought you said you tried 3 different drives? If it's only happening in the Lightscribe, as you seem to be saying, then I guess it's an issue with that drive.

Exclamation

You can try this: go into your device manager->IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Right click on secondary and choose properties. Go to the advanced settings tab and choose PIO only for "transfer mode". I would ensure that your drive is connected to the secondary controller first though.

I mean I tried out 3 of the same drives. The litescribe drives. 1 hp and 2 BenQ and all of them have some kind of error and can't read usually older discs.

Then I guess it's an issue with the Lightscribe drives! Install a standard DVD-ROM drive as a second drive and use that to install software and read CD's/DVD's. They are only about 20 to 25 bucks these days.
