Difference between Administrator from Administrators

Using windows 2k server what is the difference between Administrator from Administrators on Security when issuing access to a folder or file?

Administrator is the "person" or user. Administrators (plural) is the group that has admin. rights. The Administrator belongs to the group-Administrators, the group may have more than one user with the rights.
