XP log-on forgotten password
Hello, Can you tell me how I can get around a lost password to log onto Windows XP without having to reinstall the OS?
Thanks! |

These are a few options for you to log into XP -
1) Log in as the Administrator (Press CTRL+ALT+DEL twice at the welcome screen and enter as 'Administrator' use the password that you set during installation (or if you werent given the option when installed it, then the password should be blank). Now go to the Control Panel and change the password of the username that you forgot 2) This might be a bit late, but you should have created a Lost password disk, if you are prone to losing passwords. For future reference read the directions here: http://support.microsoft.com/default...;en-us;Q305478 I'm afraid I'm going to have to close this down, as this is against the forum policy as we have no means of verifying the authenticity that this question is not to hack into another computer. Thanx for understanding. |
