What kind of system protection do you have, and can you try to run install process from winows 2000 and when it asks you that you do an upgrade you change that to a clean(fresh) install(ADVANCED), but read carefuly and check box that you would like to chose partition for installation(I think that is in ACCESSIBILITY options during SETUP from existing windows) or you will end up installing windows xp and deleting win2k!!!

What kind of system protection do you have?

I'm not sure what you want to know??
But I'm trying to do a clean install on a new partion, not where 2000 is.

Boot with the CD and press F6 when it prompts you to install a 3rd party storage driver, then put your floppy in.
