Help needed! WinXP Networking Folder

Help!!!!

I recently connect my external hard disk to my pc to shared some folders to my local network. After sharing, i forgot to deleted away the shared folders in my network folder and disconnect the external hard disk. Right now, my network place which contains the shared folder of my external hard disk couldn't be deleted, i tried to connect the external hard disk, but it wouldn't work.

how is it possible to deleted away the shared folders which is appearing as a ghost image in my computer?

Try reboot your computer and check if folder is still there, and if that's not working try boot in Safe Mode and try delete the file!!!
