Good way to change computer name automatically after Ghosting?
In my new job with Utah TECH CORPS, I receive a fair number of computer donations that then have to be loaded with Windows 2000, Avast, OpenOffice, a freeware firewall, Adobe Reader, the Google Toolbar, WinZip, etc. To simplify this I made a Ghost image that we can use to load everything up in seconds.
The only problem is that when I reghost, all the computers have the same machine name, which wreaks havok in a network environment. Is there any simple freeware or inexpensive tool that can rename the machine automatically upon the next startup?

It seems like there is an option in sysprep to name it a random name. I found this article on Symantec's site that may help.

Awesome. I think I will probably use Ghost Console to get GhostWalker to run after cloning. I did some searching, but I couldn't really find anything like that. Thnaks a lot!
