Another odd problem
I have a user who has the only Win2K box in a small network of NT4 boxes with an NT4 server. Everyone accesses shared files on the sever. After the Win2K user logged in on 1 of the NT boxes and then logged back onto her own system she is no longer able to print to certain files using Word97. The message goes something along the lines of "method not available on protected area" everyone else can open and print to these files. Any ideas?

Select the printer properties of the computer where the problem occurs and make sure that the printer is shared and then also when she is printing from her own computer the printer is NOT SET TO NETWORK printer this actually should help it - running office 2k here so it's a bit differend than Office 97 but the principles are the same..
then also she has to make sure that she has the access rights to the files she tries to print .. I assume that the files she tries to print are on her OWN machine and not on the server or on one of the NT 4 workstations..

The printer is controlled by the server, the files are also on the server. She has administrator privileges.
