Windows XP-64 help

I'm getting an fx-55 processor 4 my build and I want to take full advantage of the 64bit capabilities. I know xp64 just came out, and I heard it has some compatability issues. Can so one give me the run down on it?

I am in the same boat and decided for now to stay with windows 32 bit. I put the 64 bit version on a test partition multiboot thing I do.

Mainly because drivers can be an issue as the ones I generally found were in a beta format.

As well many applications will not run in X64 for example many many antivirus security suite software will not run on windows 64 bit.

From what I could see the 64 bit version of XP really only benefits those doing cad and heavy 3d stuff. I did not notice much of an improvement in the games I tried.

But who knows as I am sure others have more informed opinions on the matter. Once I see better industry support I will probably make the fulls switch. Of course we are now back down to a two side issue with 32 bit one side and 64 on the other. Wave of the future I say
