Source Path - Regedit

I am not as familiar with ME having spent most of my time with 98Se. I always installed by placing the cab files on the hard drive and it seems the registry reflected that in SE but not in ME.
In ME I find that the Source Path says Windows/Options/Install instead of what i expected (C:\Win9x). Will I cause any problems by making the change to Setup SourcePath to read C:\Win9x ???

When you install ME directly from the CD, it copies the cabs for you to that path, no need to copy the cabs to the hard drive first like we used to do.

thanks glc
well i did not know that me copies everything even if you install from 9x on the hd.
the computer has gone back to the customer now with that change to source path made. hope it does not cause problems.
the reason i asked the question was that the use of a usb keyboard with the mouse plugged into the side of the kb caused me to request the cabs and it did not land on the correct source in the box with the up and down arrows. i plugged in a ps2 mouse and rebooted and directed it to the cabs i had placed on the hard drive and it set up fine. problem was that the keyboard i used and the mouse were different brands so when the kid hooked up his usb keyboard at the house he was stuck again when it asked for the files. he brought it back to me and i did the temporary ps2 mouse fix and changed the registry at that time.
hope all goes well. thanks for the information.
