thumbnail view causes explore to crash in XPpro
Running XP pro SP1 - Have lots and lots of graphic files, most .wmf
I keep having this really annoying problem where I try to switch to thumbnail view and the first pictures in that folder will show up but then the explorer experineces an unknown problem and must close down. It does not happen on every folder and I thought maybe it had to do with the number of files in a folder except that it happens on smaller ones also So the only thing I can think of is that there is a file in the folder that explorer greatly dislikes....but i cannot find out which one seeing as how they are all the exact same format... any ideas on how i can figure out which file or files that could be. Or am i way off base even?? BYT this did not always happen before - somewhat new issue |

The only thing I found is it may be caused by Divx. If you have it installed, uninstall it and see if that fixes it. If it does, reinstall the latest version.
Edit - if you have any video files in the folder, try moving them to their own folder. |
