XP Pro Welcome Screen
Hello, this is my first problem on this forum, right then the problem is now whenever my computer is turned on and gets to the Welcome Screen eventually it skips the login screen and goes straight to the desktop, when in the "User Accounts" it is selected to go to that screen!
I am using XP Pro CE |

Go to start > Run > and type control userpasswords2
Make sure that the box for "users must enter a username and password" is checked. |

Not that, I mean before, it went to the welcome screen and the icons for the user accounts came up so you can select which account you want to use, no passwords, no usernames typing in, but all that comes up is the Welcome Screen for 2-3 seconds and then straight to Windows

I believe windows defaults to this when you only have one account set up. Is this the case?
If not, check under Users in control panel that "use the welcome screen" is selected (under "control how users log in" or something to that effect") Freakitchen

I have only the one account so after a while with 1 account it stops the choice of logging in via my icon

If you password protect the account, then it will bring up the welcome screen. If not, it bypasses it, simply because it has no use.
