Dear Friends,
I have dual booting with Win98 and Win XP professional installed on my system at home. Recently I got Samsung DVD combo drive installed. Along with the drive, I had received the Nero 6 which got installed and working fine. In my office system, I have installed Nero 5.5 which came along with that CD writer. Whenever I write a multisession CD at my home and try to add more files in my office system(CDs written in Nero 6 and trying to add files in Nero 5.5), I get error "Invalid file format". To resolve this problem, I Uninstalled Nero 6 in my home and installed Nero 5.5.But in Nero 5.5, my CD writer is not being recognised. I tried different versions of Nero(older versions), but my DVD combo drive is not being recognised in them. what would be the problem? I tried by installing NTI CD maker, Burn4free etc. But in none of the softwares are able to recognise the DVD combo drive. Can anyone suggest how to get the drive recognised in these softwares? Regards, Srinath India |

You probably need the latest version of any software you try. If that particular drive is not in the software's database, it's not going to see it. Also, OEM software that ships with drives generally will only work with that specific drive.
