"now safe to shutdown" screen
i know on older machines that use the AT PSU when you click shutdown a screen would come up that said "It is now safe to shutdown your computer" or something similar, then you hit the power button and it shutsdown with no problems. well i just reinstalled my system, used nlite to create the XP disk, and now when i shutdown it has that screen! is there a setting somewhere i can get rid of this?
TIA

See if there's an APM tab in your power options. If so, check the box to enable advanced power management. The Nlite may have broken the ACPI layer.

I think glc was talking about power options in the BIOS.
