Icon Backround turned blue
I dont know how this happened or how to change it back but my desktop icon backrounds are blue. They look like they are selected but they are not. Does anyone know how to change the color to clear or something like that?

By icons, do you mean the actual physical pictures, or the shading behind the text? If it's the latter, this is down to your visual performance settings. For a fix, right click my computer and go to properties. Once there, head for the 'advanced' tab, and click the settings button under 'performance'. Select 'configure for best appearence' and it will check all the visual options boxes in the list.
Hope this is what you meant!

I tried the option above but it didnt seem to fix the problem. Ive attached a picture so you can see what exactly its doing and give you a better idea. To me it appears as if the icons are always selected. This happened after I got the spyware Spysheriff and havnt been able to fix it since.

Looked at your pic, it appears to be what i thought it was...the background for the text is not being made "see thru" by Windows visual settings. In the control panel I referred you to, try selecting the "custom option" and ticking/unticking (try it both ways) the "Use Drop Shadows for Icon Lables on the Desktop" - this is the actual setting that controls your problem. If that still doesnt work, then it looks like a graphical/Windows issue that i havent come across before

Change the background colour of the icons so that it matches your desktop
